Integration Forum on the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of libraries, archives and museums

The Presidential Library, with the support of the Interstate Foundation for Humanitarian Cooperation of the CIS Member States, the Eurasian Library Assembly and the Interparliamentary Assembly of CIS Member States, is holding an Integration Forum on the preservation of the cultural and historical heritage of libraries, archives and museums on October 7–9, 2025.
The forum will include a scientific and practical conference entitled "Evacuation during the Great Patriotic War: Preserving Memory in the Digital Space of the CIS Countries."
The following issues are expected to be discussed during the event:
- the evacuation of scientific and cultural institutions and cultural treasures from frontline territories during the Great Patriotic War;
- the evacuation of cultural figures during the Great Patriotic War;
- cultural life during the evacuation;
- the work of libraries during the evacuation;
- the current state of museums and memorials dedicated to the evacuation;
- projects aimed at preserving cultural heritage and historical memory of the evacuation in the digital environment.
Applications to participate in the conference as speakers will be accepted until August 18, 2025, attendees’ applications – until September 22, 2025.
Participation in the events of the Integration Forum is only possible after completing electronic registration and presenting a passport.

On October 17th, 2024, the Presidential Library will host the Russian Scientific Conference "1944: Stalin's Ten Blows," to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Leningrad from Nazi occupation and the expulsion of German troops from Soviet territory. A video recording of the event will be made.
Registration for speakers ends at 14:00 on September 20th, 2024 and for attendees at 14:00 on October 15th, 2024.

On September 24-26, 2024, the Presidential Library is hosting the Annual Integration Forum events.
On September 24, 2024, the XI Annual Meeting of Heads of Regional Centers of the Presidential Library will take place at the Presidential Library. Only specialists from the regional centers are invited to attend.
Open sessions of the Annual Integration Forum will take place on September 25-26, 2024.
The deadline for applications to participate in the conference as listeners is until 12:00, September 19, 2024.
On September 25th, 2024 the XV Scientific and Practical Conference "Cultural Heritage: Integrating Resources in the Digital Space" will be held at the Presidential Library as part of the Forum.
This event will be broadcasted online and recorded.
It is possible to participate in the video conference mode. The organizing committee reserves the right to determine the format of the speaker's presentation at the conference.
On September 26, 2024, the Russian National Library (St. Petersburg, Sadovaya str., 18) will host a remote event as part of the forum - the international scientific and practical roundtable "The National Library - the scientific and methodological center for libraries in the country".
The event will be broadcasted online.

We look forward to welcoming you at the round table "The Russian language in the CIS countries: the potential for cooperation in culture, science and education" within the framework of the international conference "The Russian language - the basis of the integration dialogue in the region of the Commonwealth of Independent States", organized jointly with the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly of Member States Commonwealth of Independent States.
The purpose of the round table is to unlock the potential of the Russian language in the CIS for cooperation in culture, science and education.

The round table will touch upon the history of fortifications in the North-West of Rus' in the 9th–15th centuries, the creation of fortifications in the North-West of Russia in the 18th century, archaeological research of fortifications in the North-West, issues of conservation and restoration of monuments of Russian defence architecture, etc.
